In the heart of Ebute Community in Eti-Osa East, Ajah, Lagos, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, a transformative Christmas Medical Outreach, Organized by Dr. Derin Phillips in collaboration with the Caise Foundation provided free healthcare services to families in need, leaving a lasting impact on those who participated.This initiative, born from a desire to address the pressing healthcare challenges faced by underserved communities, was a lifeline for many families. The outreach delivered essential medical services to 164 individuals—134 children and 30 adults. Beyond routine care, the team uncovered and began addressing critical health conditions, including two cases of HIV among adults and three cases of Hepatitis in children. These findings underscored the importance of early detection and access to medical intervention. Each diagnosed individual was connected with follow-up care, ensuring they received the attention they needed to move toward recovery.
